OPTION 1 (Scenic route - click here to see the prices for option 1): Fly to Godo Olo, then take a boat trip across the mighty Tapanahony River to reach your destination. For the return journey, travel by boat back to Godo Olo and then take a flight to Paramaribo. Choose to stay for either 3 or 4 nights.

Meals
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included at €35.00 per person per day. Prices for individual meals are: Breakfast €7.50, Lunch €7.50, and Dinner €20.00.
Rooms
The resort has 9 double rooms. Four rooms have private bathrooms, and five rooms share communal bathrooms (3x) and toilets (3x).
Amenities
The resort offers 24-hour electricity (solar panels), running water, and telephone connectivity via Telesur. There is no Wi-Fi available at the resort (yet).
Health Services
The village has a medical post operated by the Medical Mission Suriname (MAF). The resort is located across from the village of Apetina, with a view of the Tapanahony River.

General Information
- Check-in/Check-out: Check-in begins upon arrival at the resort, and check-out occurs after breakfast on your final day.
- Meals: Breakfast (7:00 AM - 9:00 AM), Lunch (1:00 PM - 2:00 PM), Dinner (7:00 PM - 8:00 PM).
- Bar Hours: Open from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, offering a wide range of beverages and snacks.
Daily Activities Overview
The following is a typical schedule of activities for your stay at Apetina Eco River Resort, ensuring you make the most of your adventure in the heart of the Amazon rainforest.
Day 1 (Arrival)
- Morning: Departure from Zorg en Hoop Airport to Apetina Eco River Resort.
- Afternoon: Arrival at the resort, check-in, and orientation, followed by a light lunch. In the afternoon, visit the village of Apetina to meet the local community and learn about their culture and daily life. This is also an opportunity to purchase souvenirs.
- Evening: Enjoy dinner at the resort, followed by an evening of relaxation with a drink while discussing the next day's program. The peaceful sounds of nature and the view of the Tapanahony River will make for a tranquil end to your day.
Day 2 (Hiking Tebu Top)
- Morning: After breakfast, embark on an adventurous hike to Tebu Top, a 375-meter-high mountain. The journey includes a 30-minute boat ride followed by a 30-minute hike through the rainforest. Once at the summit, enjoy breathtaking views of the Amazon, with landmarks like Magnet Rock and Roosevelt Peak visible in the distance.
- Afternoon: Return to the resort for lunch, followed by free time to swim in the "Soela" (river rapids) or simply relax by the water. The rapids offer natural water massage spots, and you can watch the local children skillfully play in the river.
- Evening: After dinner, share stories of the day's adventures while enjoying a peaceful view of the river.
Day 3 (Kayak, visiting village)
- Morning: After breakfast, set out on a 25-minute boat trip through the river rapids to "Pun Soela," a large rapid that requires boats to be pulled overland. Enjoy the untouched beauty of the rainforest and try your luck at fishing in this area.
- Afternoon: Return to the resort for lunch. The rest of the afternoon is free for kayaking, swimming, fishing, or simply relaxing at the resort. For those who missed the earlier village visit, there is an opportunity to visit the village and purchase souvenirs.
- Evening: End your adventure with a riverside barbecue and campfire by the Tapanahony River. Share stories under the starlit sky, which is breathtaking without city lights.
Day 4 (Optional)
- Morning: After breakfast, embark on an exciting fishing trip to Tusu Creek. The boat journey takes 1-2 hours through the creek, with opportunities to spot wildlife along the way.
- Afternoon: Spend the entire day fishing at Tusu Creek, with the chance to catch anjoemara or toekoenarie fish. Return to the resort in the late afternoon.
- Important: Fishing gear is available at the resort, but you must arrange the fishing trip in advance. A minimum of four participants is required.
- Other Options: For guests not participating in the fishing trip, the day can be spent at leisure, with opportunities to kayak, swim, explore, or relax at the resort.
Departure Day
- Morning: After breakfast, check out and prepare for your return trip. Depending on your package, your departure will either be by plane directly from Apetina or by boat to Godo Olo, followed by a flight to Paramaribo.
