How do I confirm my booking?

A booking is confirmed with a minimum 25% deposit. The remaining balance must be paid at least one day before departure.

Yes, you can cancel without any charge up to three weeks before departure. Cancellations made between three and two weeks before departure will incur a 50% charge, while cancellations within one week will result in a full charge.

Apetina Eco River Resort is not liable for disruptions caused by factors beyond its control, such as natural disasters, political unrest, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Transportation

How do I get to Apetina Eco River Resort?

The resort is accessible by plane from Zorg en Hoop Airport directly to Apetina or through Godo Olo and then by boat.

You should arrive 30 minutes before departure with a valid passport or ID. Make sure you have received any necessary vaccinations.

You can bring 2 kg of personal items per night of stay, in addition to your body weight. This is to avoid overloading the plane.

No, it is not allowed to bring food or drinks. The resort has a well-stocked bar and kitchen to meet your needs.

Yes, wearing a life jacket is mandatory during boat trips. Additionally, you should bring sun protection, light clothing, and insect repellent.

What makes Apetina different from the other villages, and what does Apetina offer?

Apetina Eco River Resort is located directly on the Kamaloe Soela River, opposite the village of Apetina. It is a true asset to Apetina and unique among Indigenous villages in the region.

The resort offers 24/7 electricity and running water. The area is untouched, pollution-free, and free from gold mining activities. The river water is clean and pure.

There is (limited) telephone connection (Telesur). The resort features 10 double rooms, a large lobby, a spacious hammock lounge, good sanitary facilities, and excellent meals. Guests can also enjoy a well-organized bar in a relaxing atmosphere where everyone feels at home.

The resort is well maintained, clean, and mosquito-free. Located just a two-minute walk from the airstrip, it allows guests to relax at any time of day in a clean, pollution-free environment.

  • Travel further south along the Tapanaony River and, with some luck, encounter the Rotshaan (Cock of the Rock).

You can also take a 15-minute boat ride to the Puun Soela, the first adventurous rapid near the village where passengers briefly disembark before continuing toward Godo Olo.

All day trips and tours planned by the resort are included in your stay. This also includes visits to nearby villages.

Yes, the resort reserves the right to change or cancel tours if external factors impact visitor safety and well-being.

Expeditions to Magnet Rock, Roosevelt Peak, and special boat and fishing trips requiring overnight stays are not included in the standard package.

Health & Safety

Do I need to get vaccinated?

It is the visitor’s responsibility to ensure they have received the required vaccinations. The resort cannot be held liable for incorrect vaccinations.

The resort has strict safety guidelines, including mandatory life jackets during boat trips and regular maintenance to ensure a safe environment. However, visitors must follow the instructions provided by guides and staff.

Miscellaneous

What should I pack for my stay?

It is recommended to bring light clothing, good footwear, a hat or other head covering, sunscreen, insect repellent, long pants, long-sleeve shirts, a flashlight, and a small backpack for water and snacks during trips.

Yes, internet access is available at the resort through Telesur.

Alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, juices, and snacks from the bar are not included in the standard package and must be purchased separately.

Hookah use, expeditions requiring overnight stays, and fishing equipment rentals are not included in the standard package and require an additional fee.
