Included (Non-Paid) Activities

Kayaking

Explore the calm waters of the Tapanahony River at your own pace. Kayaks are available for guests to use whenever they wish. Life vests and helmets are required and provided by the resort.

Swimming in the "Soela" (River Rapids)

Enjoy a refreshing swim in the river rapids located near the resort. The “Soela” offers natural water massage spots, and the view of the river and village makes it a perfect place to relax and unwind. Watch the local children play in the water, showcasing their agility as they hop from rock to rock.

Fishing

Test your luck by fishing in the Tapanahony River. Common catches include toekoenaria and anjoemara fish. Fishing gear is provided by the resort, and you can fish right from the riverbank or during specific trips.

Village Visit

On the first day of your stay, you’ll visit the nearby village of Apetina. Here, you’ll be introduced to the culture and traditions of the local Indigenous community. This is also an opportunity to purchase handmade souvenirs from the villagers.

Guided Hike to Tebu Top

Embark on an adventurous hike to Tebu Top, a 375-meter-high mountain with breathtaking views of the Amazon rainforest. The hike takes you through tropical forest and rocky terrain, with a stunning view from the summit that allows you to see as far as Magnet Rock and Roosevelt Peak. This challenging hike offers a sense of accomplishment and incredible photo opportunities.

Guided Boat Trips

Several boat trips are organized throughout your stay. These include a journey through river rapids to “Pun Soela,” a large rapid that requires boats to be pulled overland. The trips offer a chance to appreciate the untouched beauty of the rainforest and spot wildlife along the river.

Daily Nature Exploration

Throughout your stay, you can participate in various nature activities such as short hikes, wildlife spotting, and forest walks. These activities are designed to immerse you in the stunning surroundings of the Amazon rainforest.

Barbecue and Campfire

On your last night at the resort, enjoy a memorable barbecue by the Tapanahony River. The evening concludes with a campfire, where you can share stories, relax, and gaze at the stars in a sky unobstructed by city lights.

Stargazing

Due to the lack of light pollution in this remote location, the night sky is clear and perfect for stargazing. On a clear night, the view of the stars is truly breathtaking.

Use of Hammocks

Relax in one of the hammocks provided by the resort, perfect for taking in the tranquil surroundings or reading a book.

Animal Spotting

The rainforest surrounding Apetina Eco River Resort is home to a wide variety of wildlife. Throughout your stay, you’ll have opportunities to spot animals such as monkeys, tropical birds, and reptiles during hikes, boat trips, or even from the comfort of the resort. Early mornings and late afternoons are the best times for wildlife sightings. Guided tours can help you learn more about the native species and their habitats. Don’t forget to bring your camera and binoculars to capture these unforgettable encounters with nature!
