Suites
The rooms at Apetina Eco River Resort provide a warm and rustic experience that perfectly complements the natural surroundings.
The wooden interior of the suites, as shown in the picture, features a cozy atmosphere with polished timber walls and floors, exuding an authentic jungle lodge charm. The spacious bed is set against a backdrop of natural materials, illuminated by soft, ambient lighting from wall-mounted lamps, which adds to the room’s relaxed vibe.
A large window allows natural light to flood the room during the day, and depending on your suite, this window will either offer a serene river view or a calming forest view. Curtains provide privacy when needed, while a small fan helps keep the space cool and comfortable.
Of the 10 suites available at the resort, 7 offer picturesque views of the river, perfect for those who want to wake up to the sights and sounds of flowing water. The remaining 3 suites boast views of the lush forest, offering guests a more secluded and intimate experience. Five of the suites come with their own private bathrooms for added convenience, while the other five share a well-maintained community bathroom area with 3 showers and restrooms.

Getting to Apetina
Reaching Apetina is an adventure in itself. The village is accessible only by plane or boat, adding to the sense of isolation and remoteness that makes this destination so special. Most travelers fly into Apetina from Paramaribo, Suriname’s capital, or take a boat from the river village of Godo Olo, which is about a 4-5 hour journey along the Tapanahony River. The boat ride is an experience not to be missed, offering views of the stunning river landscapes, waterfalls, and occasional wildlife sightings along the way. Apetina Eco Resort arranges all travel to Apetina for you.
